Venezia FC’s Primavera side, coached by Marco Modolo, returned to action in the Second Preliminary Round of the 2026/27 Primavera Coppa Italia against Union Brescia, following their league meeting seven days ago. This time, it was the Lombardy side who came out on top, securing a 3-2 victory and progressing to the next round after an entertaining, goal-filled match.

The game got underway with Moretti firing an effort after nine minutes, comfortably dealt with by Zuzzi. Venezia responded in the 13' minute when Camara won possession inside the box and got a shot away, although he failed to seriously trouble the opposing goalkeeper. Union Brescia continued to push forward and came close again in the 23' minute, when Moretti’s header from a corner was well saved by Zuzzi. In the 29' minute, the Arancioneroverdi came close to taking the lead following a fine combination between Solomonovs and Camara, with Grazioli making two saves to keep the home side level. Three minutes later, however, the hosts broke the deadlock through Molinari, who reacted quickest to a short clearance inside the box before beating Zuzzi. Just five minutes later, in the 37' minute, Union Brescia doubled their advantage. Zanini finished off a counter-attack to beat Zuzzi once again. Modolo’s side, however, stayed in the game and pulled one back in the 40' minute. Daniele won a penalty, which Camara confidently converted to make it 2-1 at the break.

Venezia came out strongly in the second half in search of an equaliser. Cassina tried his luck first, followed by Baroncelli after being well set up by Dalla Pietà. The match opened up, with Union Brescia also threatening through efforts from Bigatti and Zanini, both comfortably dealt with by Zuzzi. In the 84' minute, however, Union Brescia restored their two-goal advantage. Baffoe broke into the box and fired a shot to Zuzzi’s right to make it 3-1. The Arancioneroverdi refused to give up and, with just two minutes remaining, they were back in the game. Camara raced clear on the counter-attack and found the net to make it 3-2. Modolo’s players continued to attack until the final whistle, but were unable to find an equaliser. The match between Union Brescia and Venezia therefore ended 3-2, with the home side advancing to the next round of the Primavera Coppa Italia.
