Farji called up for the World Cup

Venezia FC announces that player Marco Farji has been called up by the Iraq national football team to take part in the 2026 World Cup. The Iraqis, after qualifying thanks to their victory in the Playoff final against Bolivia national football team, have been drawn in Group I with France national football team, Norway national football team and Senegal national football team. This will be the second World Cup appearance for the “Lions of Mesopotamia”, who return to football’s biggest tournament after 40 years, their last appearance having been at 1986 FIFA World Cup.
