Bjarki Bjarkason joins Südtirol

Venezia FC announces that it has reached an agreement with FC Südtirol for the permanent transfer of midfielder Bjarki Bjarkason.

Having joined the club in the 2020/21 season, Bjarkason made 76 appearances, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists across Serie B and the Coppa Italia.

During his time in Venice, the Icelandic midfielder played a part in some of the most significant chapters of the club’s recent history, helping Venezia earn promotion to Serie A in the 2023/24 and 2025/26 seasons.

Venezia FC would like to thank Bjarki for his commitment, dedication, and professionalism throughout his time in orange and black, and wishes him every success, both personally and professionally, in the next chapter of his career.
