Davide Nicola's Press Conference

On the eve of the midweek fixture against Inter, valid for Matchday 9 of the 2026/27 Serie A Enilive Championship, head coach Davide Nicola previewed the match during a press conference. The game is scheduled for Wednesday, 28 October, at 6:30 p.m. at the Pier Luigi Penzo Stadium.

Davide Nicola, Venezia FC head coach.
“This will be a difficult challenge, like every match from now until the end of the season, but it will give us the opportunity to continue improving. Over these almost two weeks of work, I have already been able to gather some indications and assess the players’ characteristics. We always have the ambition to be competitive and pick up points, even though we know it won’t be easy. We need to be aware that it is not enough to do things well, as we did in Genoa, where the statistics show that we deserved to win; we also need to do them better than our opponents. We approach these two closely scheduled matches with the ambition of getting results, because that is what we work for, while also focusing on our development. Tomorrow, I expect a team that is ambitious enough to understand its own strengths, but also humble enough to recognise the quality of the opposition we will face. We will need to raise our level and try to take another step forward, fully aware that there will also be difficulties along the way".
