Davide Nicola, Venezia FC head coach.
“The victory against Napoli certainly gives us satisfaction. The players showed focus and cohesion, and this week we have continued to make progress in our work, aiming to become consistently competitive through our efforts. Against Genoa, we will need to be good at staying compact and keeping our lines close together, both when defending and attacking, while always maintaining tactical discipline. We are facing a high-level team, already accustomed to this type of championship, coached by a very capable manager and featuring quality players, in an important atmosphere. It will be a match that will allow us to take another step forward in our development. We will need to play with personality and simplicity in implementing our strategies. We believe we have the qualities to be competitive; we want to play these kinds of matches, approaching them with humility and the right level of tension. I want to build a sense of unity throughout the entire club because I know perfectly well that this will be fundamental to our journey. What matters to me is what happens on the pitch and what each player contributes on the field to help the team".
