Davide Nicola's Press Conference

On the eve of the match against Udinese, valid for the eleventh round of the 2026/27 Serie A Enilive Championship, head coach Davide Nicola addressed the key topics ahead of the game during a press conference. The match is scheduled for Friday, November 6, at 8:45 PM at the Pier Luigi Penzo Stadium.

Davide Nicola, Venezia FC Head Coach.
“The team’s performances show that we can be competitive, and now is the time to keep working and find the courage to do even better what we prepare. We will face an opponent that is well established in the division, competing for the same objective as us, well-organised and physically strong. Every opponent presents different challenges, and we will need to be balanced and brave. Consistency in performances is the best way to achieve consistency in results. We still have room for improvement, and we must continue along this path. We started by working on our defensive phase, which is not simply about staying behind the ball, but involves a wide range of situations. The team is showing great attention to detail in these aspects.

I expect our fans to give us great support, as they always do, because every match is important to us. We will need to play with determination and balance, reading every moment of the game well. We have to prepare for every phase of play and every moment of the match. I am convinced that this team must continue to perform as it has been doing, while becoming braver when transitioning from one phase to another: in other words, defending for as little time as possible and then being able to bring quality and automatisms into the other phase. We must have great faith in these players because they have the quality to express themselves".
