Giovanni Stroppa's Press Conference

Ahead of the match against Milan, valid for the second matchday of the 2026/27 Serie A Enilive season, head coach Giovanni Stroppa spoke to the media ahead of Friday's game, scheduled for 8:45 PM at San Siro.

"At San Siro, we will try to play our game, while being fully aware of the context and the team we will be facing. I hope we can put in the same kind of performance we did against Lecce in terms of attitude, courage and focus. It will certainly be important not to make mistakes, because we are facing a quality team, including in terms of individual players, who can make the difference at any moment in the game. We will need to maintain a very high level of concentration on every ball.

For our part, if we work as a team, with courage, and bring our strengths onto the pitch, something will happen when we have the ball. I want a team that is mentally switched on, in every department, from the first minute to the last. We are continuing to work without allowing Sunday's result to affect us, focusing instead on the many good things we did. Then, of course, we need to score goals.

We must always believe, while showing the right amount of respect for our opponents. We are calm and composed because the path we need to follow is clear. I have great respect for Amorim; they have a strong identity. I believe there are similarities between the two teams, both in terms of their defensive approach and the way they play in general."
