Issa Doumbia joins Sporting Clube de Portugal

Venezia FC announces that an agreement has been reached with Sporting Clube de Portugal for the permanent transfer of midfielder Issa Doumbia.

Having arrived in Venice at the beginning of the 2024/25 season, Doumbia made a total of 63 appearances in the orange-and-green shirt, scoring 10 goals and providing 6 assists, all recorded during the outstanding 2025/26 campaign.

Over the course of the last season, Issa established himself as one of Venezia FC’s key players, playing a decisive role in the club’s Serie B title-winning campaign thanks to his performances and continuous development.

The club would like to thank Issa for his commitment, professionalism, and dedication shown throughout his time with Venezia FC, and wishes him every success, both personally and professionally, in the next chapter of his career.
