Lorenzo Montipò joins Venezia FC
Venezia FC announces that it has permanently acquired the registration rights of Lorenzo Montipò from Hellas Verona.
Born in Novara, the 1996-born goalkeeper has signed a contract with the Arancioneroverdi that will keep him at the club until 30 June 2028.
A product of Novara’s youth academy, Montipò made his first-team debut during the 2012/13 season. He subsequently joined Robur Siena on loan for the 2015/16 season, establishing himself as a regular starter in Serie C. The following season, he moved to Carpi, again on loan.
Returning to Novara at the end of the 2016/17 season, Montipò became the club’s first-choice goalkeeper in Serie B before joining Benevento on loan for the 2018/19 season, with the move made permanent at the end of the campaign.
With Benevento, he secured promotion to Serie A in the 2019/20 season and made his Serie A debut the following year.
In the summer of 2021, Montipò joined Hellas Verona on loan, with the club subsequently making the move permanent at the end of the season. He made a total of 184 appearances for Hellas Verona and has 216 Serie A appearances to his name overall.
Lorenzo Montipò, Venezia FC goalkeeper
“At Venezia, there is an important project, a strong vision, with significant investment and a great desire to avoid relegation in order to give continuity to the project and help it grow.
I have great memories of the Penzo. It is a stadium where you can feel a fantastic atmosphere, with the fans so close to the pitch and making their passion and warmth felt. I am sure our fans will give us a hand in helping us earn points.
I am very excited about this new adventure and I can’t wait to get started.“
Welcome to the arancioneroverdi, Lorenzo.
