Svoboda Called Up to the National Team for 2026 World Cup

Venezia FC announces that Michael Svoboda has been called up to the Austrian National Team squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The arancioneroverde captain, under head coach Ralf Rangnick, will take part in Austria’s eighth World Cup appearance, as the national team returns to the competition for the first time in 28 years since France 1998.

Austria has been drawn into Group J alongside Argentina, Algeria, and Jordan. Below is the schedule for “Das Team” matches (Italian time):
