Pasquale Mazzocchi joins Venezia FC
Venezia FC announces that it has acquired defender Pasquale Mazzocchi from SSC Napoli on loan until the end of the 2026/27 season, with an option to buy and an obligation to purchase upon the fulfillment of certain conditions.
Born in Naples on 27 July 1995, Mazzocchi returns to wear the arancioneroverde shirt, having previously represented the club during the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons. In his first season, he helped Venezia earn promotion to Serie A, before making his top-flight debut the following campaign. During his two seasons with Venezia, Mazzocchi made 60 appearances, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
After coming through the youth academies of Benevento and Hellas Verona, Mazzocchi gained experience in Serie D and Serie C with Bellaria, Pro Piacenza and Rimini. In January 2016, he joined Parma, helping the Ducali climb from Serie D to Serie A.
After joining Perugia in the summer of 2018, he made a total of 62 appearances for the Umbrian club, scoring two goals and providing seven assists, before moving to Venezia.
Mazzocchi joined Salernitana for the 2022/23 season, making 27 Serie A appearances and recording two goals and four assists. He began the following season with Salernitana before joining Napoli during the winter transfer window.
With Napoli, he made a total of 54 appearances, contributing to the club's Serie A title triumph in the 2024/25 season and their victory in the 2025/26 Italian Super Cup.
In September 2022, Mazzocchi received his first call-up to the Italian national team under Roberto Mancini and made his debut on 26 September 2022 in a friendly against Hungary.
Overall, he has made 124 Serie A appearances, scoring two goals and providing nine assists.
