Venezia FC, coached by Marco Modolo, got their 2026/27 Cisalfa Sport Primavera 2 Championship Group A campaign off to a winning start with a convincing 5-2 victory over Cittadella. It was a match packed with goals and excitement, played at 3:00 pm at the Ca’ Venezia Sports Centre, with the Arancioneroverdi showing great character to come from behind and secure the three points with an impressive winning margin.

The visitors made the better start and took the lead after just seven minutes. Genova reacted quickly to a cross from the right and calmly finished into the back of the net beyond Furlanetto. Modolo’s side responded towards the end of the first half, with Amadio and then Rigato both coming close to finding the equaliser. The goal finally arrived in the fifth minute of added time, when Baldoni delivered a fine cross for Fondi to head home and make it 1-1 at half-time.

Venezia came out with renewed energy after the break and needed just one minute to take the lead, with Dalla Pietà finding the net with a fine finish. The Arancioneroverdi continued to push forward, but Cittadella levelled the score in the 60th minute through Zedda, who beat Furlanetto directly from a free-kick. Just five minutes later, Fondi restored Venezia’s lead. Once again, Baldoni provided an excellent cross, and the Arancioneroverdi’s number 9 produced a superb first-time finish. Venezia then pulled away in the closing stages, with Camara making it 4-2 in the 77th minute after capitalising on a fine piece of play from Perez. In the 89th minute, Solomonovs completed the scoring following another move initiated by Perez. Full-time: Venezia FC 5-2 Cittadella. An excellent start to the championship campaign for Marco Modolo’s side.
