REDOUANE HALHAL JOINS VENEZIA FC
Venezia FC is pleased to announce the permanent signing of defender Redouane Halhal from KV Mechelen. Halhal has signed a contract with the arancioneroverde club until 30 June 2030.
Born on 5 March 2003 in Montpellier, France, and of Moroccan nationality, Halhal began his football journey in the Montpellier academy, where he completed his youth development before joining Atlético Madrid ahead of the 2023/24 season.
In the summer of 2024, he moved to the Netherlands to join Helmond Sport. During his time with the Dutch club, he made 32 appearances and scored one goal before earning a move to Belgian side KV Mechelen the following season. There, he featured in 34 matches, scoring once and providing two assists.
At international level, after making one appearance for France's Under-17 national team, Halhal chose to represent Morocco. He has since played for the Under-20 and Under-23 national teams before making his senior debut. To date, he has earned five caps for the Moroccan national team, including two appearances at the recent FIFA World Cup, where he started and played the full 90 minutes against both Canada and Haiti.
Redouane Halhal, Venezia FC defender:
"Sporting Director Antonelli presented me with an ambitious project that convinced me from the very beginning. Joining Venezia is a fantastic opportunity, and one that I embraced with great enthusiasm. The city is beautiful, the stadium is impressive, and the training facilities provide everything a team needs to perform at the highest level. I'm truly happy to be here and ready to wear the arancioneroverde shirt.
I see myself as a defender with a strong and determined mentality. I enjoy building play from the back, carrying the ball forward when space opens up, and putting my teammates in the best possible positions to create danger.
I've heard how important the supporters are to both this city and this club, and I can't wait to play in front of them and begin this new journey together. It's a great honour to wear these colours, and I'll give everything I have to repay the trust the club has shown in me.“
Welcome to Venezia, Redouane.
