The post match of Frosinone - Venezia
At the end of the match between Frosinone and Venezia FC, valid for the third matchday of the 2026/27 Enilive Serie A season and ending 3-2 in favour of the Lazio side, head coach Giovanni Stroppa and midfielder Kike Perez shared their thoughts on the main talking points from the game.
Giovanni Stroppa, Coach Venezia FC.
“I take responsibility for the start of the match, when we struggled both with and without the ball and lost every duel. Then, in the second half, we became a proper team again, managed to win our duels and our technical qualities began to show. In my opinion, there was a penalty for Adams when the score was 2-1, and I’m disappointed because, after the missed opportunity to turn the game around, we conceded the 3-2 goal. It’s really disappointing to come away from this match empty-handed. We had a very poor first half because we also made too many mistakes in our ball management. But if we look at the two halves, they were clearly different in terms of character. Today we had 15 shots, and the one-goal deficit hurts because, after getting back on level terms, we could even have won the game. We want to pick up points. This team can get going and finally break through, but we have to go out there and find that spark ourselves. We have a strong technical identity, but it cannot be separated from the character and mentality aspect".
Kike Perez, midfielder Venezia FC.
"We lost too many duels in the first half. They were going at two thousand miles an hour, and we found ourselves two goals down. We did better in the second half, including in our use of the ball, but then we made some mistakes and lost the game. It’s a difficult moment. We have zero points, but we have to stay united and keep working together as a team to get out of it. On Friday we have a very important match, in front of our own fans, and we want to win",
