The post match of Venezia-Napoli
At the end of the match between Venezia FC and Napoli, valid for the seventh matchday of the 2026/27 Enilive Serie A Championship and which ended with a 1-0 victory for the Venezia FC, head coach Davide Nicola and striker Akor Adams shared their thoughts on the key aspects of the game.
Davide Nicola, Venezia FC head coach.
“From the very beginning, this stadium has given me positive feelings and enthusiasm. This is a city with a magical atmosphere. We had a clear idea of how we wanted to approach this match, and we did so in the right way, respecting both the game and the qualities of our opponents. This is the spirit a newly promoted team must have to stay in this division. We must continue working to reward our fans and ourselves. We did an excellent job without the ball, while in possession we can also do a few things differently. Today, beyond the victory itself, we should be pleased to have shown that we are competitive, because that gives you the humility you need to work better".
Akor Adams, Venezia FC striker.
“Our fans are truly very important. They have suffered alongside us, and we need their energy. We will give our all in every match, for them too. Coach Nicola is very direct in the way he communicates with us. He asked us to work hard on the intensity of our play and gave us clear instructions, focusing on collective work in the defensive phase and during transitions to help us move into the attacking phase. The most important thing today is the three points. On a personal level, I don’t set myself specific goals. I think that here in Venice I have the opportunity to learn a great deal and improve. Coach Nicola has come here to help us develop, so whatever he asks of me, I will do my best to deliver".
