After a convincing opening-day victory against Cittadella, Venezia FC suffered defeat on matchday two of the 2026/27 Cisalfa Sport Primavera 2 Championship, Group A. Away at Cremonese, Marco Modolo’s side fell to a 3-1 defeat against the hosts, who thus moved to the top of the table with a perfect record.
It was a difficult start for the orange-and-black side, who found themselves behind after just eight minutes when Herzuah received the ball on the left, cut into the box and fired past Furlanetto. Just a few minutes later, Herzuah struck again to double Cremonese’s lead, embarking on a powerful solo run before finding the back of the net. Venezia tried to respond through a couple of efforts from Dalla Pietà, but neither managed to seriously trouble the opposing goalkeeper. The first half ended without any further major chances for either side.
Herzuah was once again at the centre of the action at the start of the second half. In the 50th minute, he took advantage of a through ball from Biolchi, entered the box and beat Furlanetto for the third time. Modolo’s side, however, reacted immediately and pulled one back in the 59th minute through substitute Amadio, who made it 3-1 with a fine individual move. Just a few minutes later, Venezia came close to reducing the deficit on two occasions, both through Dalla Pietà. During the final third of the match, the game opened up, with chances at both ends, but the score remained unchanged as Cremonese secured a 3-1 victory.
