Venezia FC Primavera suffer a defeat on Matchday 4 of the 2026/27 Cisalfa Sport Primavera 2 Championship, Group A, against Lecco, who now join the Arancioneroverdi on four points in the standings. The decisive goal in the match, which kicked off at 11:15 this morning at the Ca’ Venezia Sports Centre, was scored by Valenta early in the second half. It was a hard-fought contest in which Modolo’s side also had several opportunities to find the net.

Venezia made a positive start and created their first potential scoring opportunity after just four minutes, when Dalla Pietà played a fine through ball to Fondi, whose shot went narrowly wide. In the 17th minute, Lecco threatened through a header from Valenta, set up by Leoni and comfortably dealt with by Furlanetto. Valenta threatened again in the 29th minute with a shot-cum-cross that travelled across the entire Arancioneroverde penalty area without finding a teammate ready to turn it home. A few minutes later, Venezia responded with a dangerous effort from Dalla Pietà, which Agrati tipped behind for a corner. As the first half drew to a close, both sides had another opportunity. First, Florentino Terrero’s effort inside the box was turned behind for a corner by Furlanetto. Then, at the other end, Camara’s curling shot went narrowly wide. The teams went into the break with the score still level at 0-0.

The second half got off to a difficult start for the Arancioneroverdi. Just four minutes after the restart, Valenta struck from outside the box, finding the bottom-left corner beyond Furlanetto to give the visitors the lead. Venezia responded immediately through Camara, who struck the outside of the post with a powerful effort. Modolo’s players continued to push forward, first threatening with a header from Fondi that Agrati dealt with, and then with an effort from substitute Amadio that was deflected behind for a corner. Venezia threatened again in the 62nd minute, when Amadio, well positioned inside the opposition penalty area, sent a header narrowly wide. The match took another turn in the 68th minute when Mariutto was sent off, leaving the Arancioneroverdi with ten men. Modolo’s side consequently lost some of their attacking momentum but made a late attempt to find an equaliser through a shot from the edge of the box by Amadio, which failed to hit the target. The match ended 1-0 in Lecco’s favour. Venezia Primavera will return to action next Saturday at 3:00 p.m., away to Udinese.
