Third consecutive victory for Venezia FC’s Primavera side, who secured a 2-0 win over Modena on matchday seven of the 2026/27 Primavera 2 Cisalfa Sport Championship, Group A. Goals from Camara and Amadio decided the match, played this afternoon at 2:30 pm at the Ca’ Venezia Sports Centre, allowing Marco Modolo’s side to move up to 13 points in the standings, just two points behind the top three of Sampdoria, Cremonese and Renate.
Venezia started on the front foot and immediately went on the attack. In the 1st minute, Amadio tested Maran with a long-range effort, which was comfortably dealt with by the visiting goalkeeper. Amadio was involved again in the 19th minute, collecting the ball and shooting towards goal, only to see his effort blocked by an opposing defender. The Arancioneroverdi tried again in the 28th minute through Dalla Pietà, whose effort failed to trouble Maran. Three minutes later, Venezia took the lead through Camara, who did well to collect the ball following a run by Dalla Pietà and beat the opposing goalkeeper. In the 34th minute came the second key moment of the match: Mariutto played a long ball forward from the back for Amadio, who raced into the box before being brought down. A penalty was awarded, and Amadio stepped up to convert it, making it 2-0 for the Arancioneroverdi. Modolo’s side continued to attack and came close to adding a third in the 40th minute, when Perez’s curling effort narrowly missed the target. The teams therefore went into half-time with Venezia holding a two-goal lead.
The pace dropped in the second half, with Venezia managing their 2-0 advantage well while also looking to create further scoring opportunities. In the 21st minute, Modena were reduced to ten men after goalkeeper Maran was sent off for bringing down Favaro and receiving his second yellow card. Substitute Bosi was therefore called into action in the 22nd minute, making a good save from a dangerous effort by Dalla Pietà. Modena threatened in the 24th minute with a header from Colpo following a free kick, but Furlanetto was alert to the danger. Furlanetto was called upon again in the 26th minute, coming off his line at the right moment to beat everyone to a through ball that had caught the Arancioneroverdi defence out. Venezia pushed forward in the 32nd minute, with Favaro setting up Dalla Pietà, who controlled the ball inside the box and fired towards goal, only to be denied by Bosi. The Arancioneroverdi threatened again through Fondi, whose effort from inside the box went narrowly wide. In the closing stages, Modena tried to get back into the game with a free kick from Arnaboldi, but his effort sailed over the crossbar. The match therefore ended in a 2-0 victory for Marco Modolo’s side. In the next round, Venezia will travel to face Reggiana.
