Fourth consecutive victory for Venezia FC’s Primavera side, who defeated Reggiana 2-0 on matchday eight of the 2026/27 Cisalfa Sport Primavera 2 Championship, Group A. Goals from Perez and Dalla Pietà in the first half secured the win in this afternoon’s match at the “A. Valeriani” ground in Rubiera (Reggio Emilia). An important result for Marco Modolo’s side, who move up to second place with 16 points, just two behind league leaders Renate.
Reggiana immediately threatened in the 1st minute with an effort from Bortolotti, which went wide of the goal guarded by Furlanetto. Venezia’s first chance came in the 15th minute, when D’Agostino delivered a cross for Perez, whose shot was turned behind for a corner by the opposing goalkeeper. Perez tried again in the 16th minute, but failed to hit the target. The Arancioneroverdi continued to press and created another opportunity in the 21st minute, when Amadio found Fondi, whose effort from a good position failed to trouble Davoli. Venezia took the lead in the 28th minute: Dalla Pietà took a throw-in, Fondi flicked the ball on with his head for Perez, who was well positioned to make it 0-1. Modolo’s side continued to attack in search of a second goal, with attempts from Amadio and then Perez, although neither managed to find the target. The second goal arrived in the 41st minute, when Dalla Pietà made the most of D’Agostino’s cross and beat Davoli to make it 0-2. Venezia threatened again in the 43rd minute with a shot from Bergamaschi, which Davoli turned behind for a corner. The first half ended with an attacking move from Reggiana, whose effort finished just wide.
The second half began with the home side looking to respond to the two-goal deficit. First, substitute Penkov tried his luck, but his shot went wide, before Carpi tested Furlanetto, who was equal to the effort. Venezia pushed forward again in the 9th minute with a long-range effort from Mariutto, comfortably dealt with by the opposing goalkeeper. Both teams began to open up, creating chances at either end, with Dalla Pietà and Camara both coming close to scoring a third goal for the Arancioneroverdi. D’Agostino also tried his luck in the 24th minute, but his effort was blocked for a corner by the Reggiana defence. The resulting corner created an opportunity for Mariutto, whose attempt was once again blocked by the opposition defence. In the closing stages, Reggiana pushed forward in search of a goal to halve the deficit, but Furlanetto remained alert to preserve his clean sheet. Venezia defended in an organised manner and threatened Davoli’s goal through an effort from Fondi, which failed to hit the target. The final whistle confirmed another three points for Venezia ahead of the international break.
